LG sends out invites for an event in Berlin, could be for the rumored V30

Looks like a rumor from last month might be panning out as LG has just sent out an invitation for an event that will be occurring in Berlin.

According to the invitation that was sent out to the press, the firm's unveiling event will take place at 9PM CET on August 31. IFA Berlin is set to start a day later and take place from September 1 to September 6.

While it doesn't offer much in terms of details, the invitation did include the image that can be seen in this article. It looks to be the silhouette of a handset, with a huge "V" that is sprawled across it. There is also the aforementioned date and time for the event.

The "V" could be a huge clue as many rumors have indicated that the successor to the V20 could be announced at the event. While earlier leaks showed off a more radical design, it appears that LG might be playing it safe, if a leaked render is to be believed. Naturally, we will have to wait until August 31 to find out.
