Massive Samsung Galaxy Note on sale Feb. 19 at AT&T

AT&T has announced that it will begin selling the 5.3 inch Samsung Galaxy Note smartphone in the US. The Android-powered smartphone will be priced at $299.99 with a two year contract.

In November, Neowin reviewed the Samsung Galaxy Note, which could either be called a small tablet or a huge smartphone, thanks to its 5.3 inch touch screen. At the time the smartphone wasn't being sold here in the US. Now AT&T has confirmed it will be selling the Samsung Galaxy Note starting on February 19. The price of the Galaxy Note will be $299.99 with a new two year contract.

AT&T has added that pre-orders for the Galaxy Note will begin on February 5 at AT&T's web site. If you decided to go all in and put your money down early for this smartphone by February 15, AT&T will ship the Galaxy Note to you on February 17, two days before the smartphone officially goes on sale at AT&T's retail stores.

The AT&T version of the smartphone will support the company's small but growing LTE wireless network. It will come with an S Pen stylus for people who want to write notes or sketch on the Galaxy Note's touch screen. It will also contain an app called the S Memo that "... lets you compile your pictures, screen shots, voice recordings, typed text, handwritten notes or drawings – and turns them into a ‘memo’ that can easily be shared."

The Galaxy Note will be made available in two different colors from AT&T: carbon blue and ceramic white.
