Max Payne Mobile landing on iOS next week

Rockstar has announced that the mobile version of their original Max Payne title is set to be released on iOS devices next week, with an Android version due for release a couple of weeks later.

Rockstar Games today announced that Max Payne Mobile is all set for an exclusive release on iOS devices on Thursday, April 12th. Those with Android devices will be pleased to know that the game will make its way to that OS two weeks later on April 26th.

Rockstar went on to say that Max Payne Mobile has been given a makeover for both the Android and iOS releases with new HD graphics, high-resolution textures, the companies Social Club connectivity and much needed user-customisable controls.

Max Payne Mobile will be supported on the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S and on all current iPad devices, while a list for supported Android handsets and tablets is set to be released in the next few weeks.

The original version of Max Payne was released on Windows, PlayStation 2, Mac and on the Xbox in 2001 and the franchise has gone on to sell over 9 million copies, while long-awaited sequel Max Payne 3 is set to be released in the next couple of months on PC, Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3.
