McAfee goes Beta 2, testing still open

Thanks anon & vla for reminding me of this news.. McAfee has upped their beta tested products (a beta of which this newposter participates in) to Beta 2. The final for its core product McAfee VirusScan Professional Edition v7 is expected to release sometime in July, until then the products are a free open beta

These are a free download for anyone and include:

McAfee Internet Security v5.00 Beta 2 US English
McAfee Firewall v4 Beta 2
McAfee QuickClean v3.00.4000 Beta 2
McAfee VirusScan Home Edition v7 Beta 2
McAfee VirusScan Professional Edition v7 Beta 2

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued participation in our beta program. So far we have received numerous and helpful e-mails from some of you that allowed us to provide a better quality beta version. The Beta 2 version of our consumer products are available for download in our beta website, https://www.mcafee-at-home.com/beta. The updates are also available as a patch via Instant Updater.

Please continue to send us product issues, comments, and suggestions. Send us your positive feedbacks as well. We like to see if fixes that we have implemented worked for you. We have also extended the beta program another month. We are committed to releasing solid quality products in August. With this extra month, we are planning to release a beta 3 sometime in mid-July. So keep those e-mails coming!
