This newest version is hot out of the development labs, and features numerous improvements to make your messaging experience a little more joyous.
Among the improvements - the ability to advertise your current music selection in your AIM profile (supports both Winamp and iTunes), the option to assign per-buddy event sounds, the ability to display a buddy's status on the desktop without displaying the whole buddy list (deemed 'Desktop Buddies'
