Microids unveils Q4 lineup lead by Asterix & Obelix XXL Romastered

French video game publisher and developer Microids has unveiled its Q4 lineup for this year. A total of ten games have been revealed, headlined by a remaster of 2003 action-adventure title Asterix & Obelix XXL. A new collection of simulation games titled My Universe has also been announced.

The creator of game series such as Syberia and Oddworld has announced a remake of its PS2 title featuring Gaulish warrior Asterix and his best friend, Obelix, battling Romans. The game is set to offer updated graphics, an option to switch between the original and remastered visuals, new gameplay and more. Asterix & Obelix XXL Romastered is scheduled to launch on October 22 for the PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC and Mac platforms.

As for Microid's new My Universe collection, it includes 5 titles with different themes. Here are the name and release details for the upcoming simulation games:

  • My Universe: School Teacher|October 15 (EU), November 3 (U.S.) | PS4, XB1 (U.S. only), NS, PC and Mac
  • My Universe: Fashion Boutique |October 27 | PS4, XB1 (U.S. only), NS, PC and Mac
  • My Universe: Cooking Star Restaurant |November 10 | PS4, NS, PC and Mac
  • My Universe: My Baby |November 26 | PS4, PC and Mac
  • Pet Clinic Cats & Dogs |December 2020 (EU), Q1 2021 (U.S.) | PS4, NS, PC and Mac

Other games lined up for the final quarter of 2020 are:

  • Who Wants to be a Millionaire?|October 29 (EU), November 17 (U.S.) | PS4, XB1, NS, PC and Mac
  • Agatha Christie: The ABC Murders |October 6 | NS
  • The Bluecoats – North & South | October 27 | PS4, XB1, NS, PC and Mac
  • Professor Rubik's Brain Fitness | November 12 (EU), November 17 (U.S.) | PS4, XB1, NS, PC and Mac

Today's announcements also mentioned the previously announced remake of the cel-shaded first-person shooter XIII. The PS2 reboot will launch on November 10, 2020, for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC and Mac platforms.
