Microsoft cuts 25% off Band 2 in the UK, in a 'special offer' lasting over two months

Microsoft has dropped the price of its Band 2 wearable device in the UK by £50 to £149.99, in a deal that it's referring to as a 'special offer', despite being scheduled to last over two months.

Microsoft unveiled the Band 2 back in October, and it went on sale in the UK a few weeks later, priced at £199.99, £30 higher than its predecessor. The company has been regularly offering promotional discounts on the device since then; indeed, it recently offered three deals on the Band 2 in the UK in just four weeks.

Most such deals have lasted no more than a few days, or even a couple of weeks. But Microsoft's latest discount on the Band 2 is scheduled to last a good deal longer than that.

The Band 2's price has been slashed by £50 (25%), bringing it down to £149.99 on the Microsoft Store. Microsoft is referring to this as a 'special offer', but rather than lasting just a couple of days, or even a couple of weeks, it's scheduled to remain available for more than two months.

Microsoft says that the Band 2 will remain at that price until 30 June, nine weeks from today.

It's not the first time that Microsoft UK has run a 'special offer' lasting months at a time. In January, it cut 27% off the price of its Lumia 640 XL in a deal scheduled to last for over five months.
