Microsoft pushes internal testing of SP3

Thanks Bink of WindowsXP.nu who passed me a copy of this leaked internal document currently doing the rounds at Redmond. It seems either Microsoft is really excited about having MS internals test SP3 at RC level, or their own beta testing team is short coming on the performance gains of this latest Service Pack for Windows 2000. Lets not hint at a guess.. in anycase it looks like RC1 is out judging from the folder location on their network (bolded in "read more") If anything this is a heads up to a possible RC in the very near future. No dates are available -yet

Update: RTM date for SP3 is July 25th

Heres what was in the document:

Windows 2000 Service Pack 3 (SP3) Beta provides the latest updates to the Windows 2000 family of operating systems. These updates are a collection of fixes in the following areas: application compatibility, operating system reliability, security, and setup.
