Recently Google rolled out the tab group feature to Chrome users in the Beta channel. As the name suggests, tab group will allow users to group tabs together for an organized workflow. While the same feature can be enabled on Edge, Microsoft has gone ahead and created a separate extension to help you organize and share website links.
Called ‘Group Tabs & Share’, the extension was recently published by Microsoft to the Edge Add-ons Store. The extension allows users to group tabs together and copy their URLs. Furthermore, the extension allows users to export URLs in bulk as HTML, CSV, and JSON files which can be shared with others using different social media platforms or using email. You can download the extension from the Edge Add-ons Store. Once installed, you can click on the extension and select websites you want to share and copy the URLs or export it as an HTML, CSV, or a JSON file.
If you are not interested in the extension and want to try out tab groups on Edge then you can enable it by following the steps below:
- Open Microsoft Edge and type "edge://flags/#tab-groups" in the address bar.
- Click on the dropdown menu and select enable.
- Restart the browser.
This should enable tab groups on Edge and you can try them out by right-clicking on a tab in the browser. Tab groups is rolling out to both Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge this week so you should be able to enable it using the steps mentioned above.
