Microsoft slashes another $100 off the HP Elite x3 and Desk Dock, now available for $499

HP's bundle of the Elite x3 and Lap Dock has been removed from the Microsoft Store; however, the company has further slashed the price of its Elite x3 and Desk Dock bundle by an additional $100.

If you've been planning to pick up HP's Elite x3 Windows phone, now might be the time, as it's currently $300 off in the Microsoft Store, bundled with the Desk Dock accessory. Back in May, the firm shaved $200 off of the price, bringing it to $599, but now it can be yours for $499. HP.com is continuing to sell the same bundle for $799.

And just like in May, there's no indication on the listing that the deal will end, as normally there would be some fine print providing a date that the handset will return to its normal price.

While the Desk Dock bundle has dropped in price, the Lap Dock bundle has been removed from the Microsoft Store entirely. The good news is that given the $1,298 price of the bundle and $599 price tag on the Lap Dock, it's far less expensive to buy the Desk Dock bundle and Lap Dock separately.

The future of Windows 10 Mobile is still uncertain at this point, so you might want to think twice about buying it as a consumer; however, HP is still actively supporting the device, releasing a firmware update just yesterday. If you do want to purchase the Elite x3 at its new, lower price point, you can check it out at the Microsoft Store here.
