Nintendo Power gets resurrected as a new podcast

Gaming on Neowin has become a bit of taboo topic as of late, but that doesn't mean we can't talk about important parts of its history, that are now being resurrected in modern form. Today, Nintendo announced the return of Nintendo Power but in the form of a podcast.

For those that are unfamiliar, Nintendo used to have its own magazine that made its official debut in 1988. The magazine, which was titled Nintendo Power, offered readers tips, tricks, and a variety of different content covering Nintendo's hardware and software. But over the course of time, physical media sales began to dip, and it would eventually be announced in 2012, that after 24 years, the magazine would cease publication.

Luckily, it appears that Nintendo of America is interested in keeping the spirit of its magazine alive by offering those interested a new podcast. The first episode is hosted by Chris Slate, who is the former editor-in-chief of Nintendo Power, and offers an exclusive interview with producer, Eiji Aonuma, and director, Hidemaro Fujibayashi, who both worked on The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The episode can now be streamed on SoundCloud and is also available on iTunes. The podcast will also be made available on Google Play Music sometime in the near future.
