Nokia's City Lens augmented reality app for Lumia devices comes out of beta

If you're an owner of a Nokia Lumia handset you can now get your hands on Nokia's City Lens augmented reality app as it's now out of beta. The application which allows users to find new things to do in their city, such as hotels, shopping, and transport is at version 1.1, the same as when it was in beta, so it appears that the app hasn't added any new features since going official.

The app uses a combination of the accelerometer, compass and camera to give users results. It's also nicely integrated with Nokia Maps to give users driving, transport and walking directions to the places they are interested in. While the app isn't groundbreaking it does come in very handy when looking for things to try out.

Lumia users can either wait until the app propagates into their marketplace or download the release over here. The app is also available for Symbian devices.
