Nvidia might have just confirmed previous RTX 6000 release date rumors

A senior Nvidia official may have just confirmed earlier reports about when the next-gen RTX 6000 series GPUs are arriving.

NVIDIA

In this age of AI, Nvidia has undoubtedly been one of the most successful companies as it has been able to capitalize its head-start in this space to get ahead of rivals like AMD and Intel. Team Green has been making more money than ever before and the latest earnings report from the company shows that it is still going strong despite worries of the AI “bubble” bursting at any time.

And it is not just AI though, as the earnings shows that Nvidia has made plenty of money in its gaming division too. What is interesting is that the company's revenue shot up a massive 47% compared to last year despite actual sales being down 13% as opposed to the previous quarter. This clearly shows that Nvidia is reaping the benefits of the overpriced market conditions that users are currently facing.

This was confirmed during the earnings call by Nvidia's CFO Colette Kress who stated: "Gaming revenue for the fourth quarter was up 47% from a year ago, driven by strong Blackwell demand. Gaming revenue was down 13% sequentially as channel inventory naturally moderated following a season of strong holiday demand."

Kress further added that the normalization of the supply chain will take some time which means next gen GPUs will also be affected as Nvidia "expects supply constraints to be a headwind to Gaming in the first quarter of fiscal 2027 and beyond."

This is in line with previous reports which have suggested that Nvidia's RTX 6000 series cards are probably not going to land before 2028 (via The Information), though Nvidia has claimed it is doing its very best to fix such supply chain problems (via PCMag).

To be fair, it is not surprising in the least bit as other companies are also expected to miss earlier predicted product launches. For example, the Sony PS6 is now said to arrive later in 2029, and analysts are anticipating a massive price hike for SSDs similar to what memory is experiencing now.
