Offworld Trading Company gets a free multiplayer client and new DLC next week

The Mars-set real-time strategy game Offworld Trading Company will soon be accessible to a lot more players. Stardock and developer Mohawk Games announced today that a separate multiplayer client for the title will be released for free next week, February 28, this comes alongside a new DLC pack for the base game.

The separate client will let anyone join in and try out the game's multiplayer portion for free, without needing to own the base game. Those wanting access to the campaign, skirmish mode, and daily challenges will need to upgrade to the full game.

Meanwhile, the new DLC pack heading to the game is titled Market Corrections, which will explore the story behind why the people on Earth decided to colonize Mars "through the eyes of the people currently trying to survive there." In addition to three single-player campaigns, this DLC will include 12 new maps that are based on real locations on the Red Planet, such as Mangala Valles and Mangala Fossa.

Just like the free multiplayer client, the Market Corrections DLC for Offworld Trading Company will launch on February 28. The DLC will cost $3.99 at launch and its Steam store page is up right now.
