OnePlus confirms which of its devices will get Android 11

Over the weekend, OnePlus detailed its plans for OxygenOS 11, its own version of Android 11. Those plans include which devices will receive it, what the timeline looks like, and why the timeline looks that way. OxygenOS 11 is already out for the OnePlus 8 series, so that's out of the way.

As you can probably guess, it's also coming to the OnePlus 7 and 7T series. There was an issue with data encryption with these, so OnePlus has been working with Qualcomm on a fix and there will be an Open Beta after the Closed Beta test, which is currently going on. The firm did note that, if it's not obvious, the schedule is different if you have a carrier-specific model, since the carriers have to do their own testing on the update.

Before the OnePlus 7 and 7T series gets it, the Nord is set to get an Open Beta build. That should happen next week.

But that's not all, because OnePlus is updating all of its devices going back to the OnePlus 6. Unfortunately, there's no timeline for when those older devices will actually get the update or when there will be an Open Beta that's available. There's no timeline for the Nord N10 5G or the Nord N100 either, which is strange considering that the devices are brand new. One might have expected that they'd have shipped with OxygenOS 11, but they do not.
