Opera's agentic AI browser Neon is now publicly available

Opera's first agentic browser, Opera Neon, is now available to everyone. No waitlist required anymore.

Earlier this year, Opera announced Neon, its first agentic AI browser that tries to reinvent how we interact with the web. The browser was initially launched in a limited scope so that developers could get important feedback from the community to refine the experience, and now, Opera Neon is publicly available to everyone, no waitlist required.

As Opera puts it in the announcement, Neon is "an agentic browser designed for AI power users." It uses the so-called agents to perform actions on your behalf so that you can assign tasks and come back to them later. Also, Opera says that the browser is a "testing ground" for AI advancements before they become mainstream.

Being on the bleeding edge comes with a cost, though. Opera Neon and all of its capabilities are a subscription service that costs $19.90/month. However, you also get access to the latest models, such as Gemini 3 Pro and GPT 5.1.

Here is what you get for your money:

  • Model Access: Immediate use of top-tier models including Gemini 3 Pro, GPT-5.1, Veo 3.1, and Nano Banana Pro.
  • Neon Chat, Do, and Make agents: Tools that can book entire trips or build websites, generate videos, edit documents autonomously.
  • ODRA deep research agent: A new agent that performs deep research for the user. Its "1-minute research," can gather and synthesize information (with sources) on complex topics.
  • Community-Led Development: Subscribing to Neon also grants access to an exclusive Discord community. Here, users test features first, discuss the product directly with Opera’s developers, and help shape the browser’s roadmap.

If you are interested in Opera Neon and you want to see what it can do, you can download the browser from the official website. Opera's other browsers, such as Opera One, Air, and GX, will remain free with their existing features and AI-powered experiences.
