Origin to be released for Mac

An announcement at Gamescom has just revealed that EA will be bring its Origin service to Apple's Mac OSX platform. We're still unsure of the specific launch date and what titles will be available.

EA's Origin brand has just announced that they will be bringing the Origin service to Macs in hopes of promoting its service on other platforms. The announcement was made at gamescom where a lot of people speculated whether the move towards Apple's platform will be beneficial.

We know for a fact that Origin's rival, Steam, was released for the Mac recently but it didn't hit the platform with its large selection of games, but rather with an insufficient ammount. Users of Origin are questioning whether it'll be the same case, and whether only a few selection of games will be playable.

We currently don't know the exact date when Origin will launch for Mac, but we'll keep you posted shortly.
