PWAs from Chromium-based Edge will now install in the top level of the Start Menu

Ever since Microsoft's Chromium-powered Edge browser was announced for public testing earlier this month, the team has been steadily making improvements. Recently, we've seen features like spell-check make its way to the Canary branch and translation make its way to both Canary and Dev.

Today, it was announced that PWAs installed from the browser (in both the Canary and Dev branches) will now show up in the top level of the Start Menu. Previously, they'd be in their own folder called something like "Edge Canary Apps".

Microsoft's Edge Insider builds are currently only available in Canary and Dev branches, which are updated daily and weekly, respectively. There's a Beta ring coming soon though, which will be updated every six weeks. Also coming soon is support for Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, and macOS.
