Reviews Day at neowin

Well -we have had em in drones today -perhaps sites are clearing a backlog of their reviews whilst we were sleeping. Anyways....

1. Samsung SW-240 Review @ MrPCPro.com

"In the past few years CDRW drives have been perhaps the hottest technology in the PC world. Prices have dropped so low that almost every home and business user can afford one, and with speed scalability to suit your needs you don't have to buy that top of the line solution when you only need basic functionality. Today however those two lines of speed and price have merged and you can get that top of the line device for prices similar to those cheaper, slower devices. This is the case with the conservatively priced Samsung SW240 CD-RW drive. At around $125 US you are getting 40 times burning capability, 12 times re-writable capability and a reading speed of 40 times. All this while paying only a few dollars more than a $100 USD 24 times burner. I know that in my case especially I would prefer to pay some extra dollars for that speed that will allow me to more quickly backup and transfer files."

2. Billion ADSL Router with Firewall Built-in (BIPAC-711) @ techniz.co.uk

"For a make of router I have never heard of beafore I was certainly pleasantly surprised at how good it was. One of the best items about this product was the fact that it had a built in ADSL modem, which meant there was no need for my old one. The router is packed with features, ie virtual server, dhcp and dns server. Also it comes with a firewall that is configurable! It was reasonably easy to setup, and even easier to install. The price of the router is £119.11 ex vat (£139.95 inc. vat) - which is very reasonable considering all the features it has. It's not the cheapest on the market, but it's by no means the deerest on the market either."
