Samsung's Sunrise Gold Galaxy S9 and S9+ will be available on the 24th

Today, Samsung announced that its flagship handsets, the Galaxy S9 and S9+, are coming in a new color: Sunrise Gold. This is on top of the existing colors for the device, which include Lilac Purple, Coral Blue, and Midnight Black.

"Whether you’re taking pictures at the beach, or watching movies on a long flight, your phone is essential for the summer. The Galaxy S9 and S9+ deliver the performance you want and need, and the new Sunrise Gold color gives you another option to showcase your personal style," said Justin Denison, senior vice president, Mobile Product Strategy and Marketing at Samsung Electronics America. "The Galaxy S9 and S9+ are the fastest smartphones on the market so you can download movies in a snap, their cameras take great photos any time of the day and with expandable storage, you can keep, capture and share all your favorite content."

Samsung's Galaxy S9 series of devices was the first out of the gate with Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform, unlocking new features like 4K 60fps video capture along with a serious performance boost. The company also introduced AR Emoji, which is similar to Apple's Animojis.

The new variant of the handsets will be available on June 24 in the United States. The Galaxy S9 will cost $719.99 for the 64GB model, $769.99 for the 128GB model, and $839.99 for the 256GB model. For the Galaxy S9+, the prices will be $839.99, $889.99, and $959.99, respectively. You can also get up to $400 off by trading in your existing phone for an unlocked S9 or S9+ at Samsung.com, or you can get up to $300 off of a carrier-locked model at Best Buy.
