Sony announces new (old) PS2 games coming to PlayStation 4

Starting tomorrow, gamers based in the Americas and Europe will be able to download eight PS2 games that will be made available for the first time on the PlayStation 4.

The initial eight games, listed below, look to be the tip of the iceberg as Sony implies that they will be porting more games over to the PS4. In their announcement, they write: "We are getting things started with a bang by launching with eight fan favorites tomorrow", the important word here being "started" .

The list of games, and their respective price are:

  • Dark Cloud - $14.99
  • Grand Theft Auto III - $14.99
  • Grand Theft Auto: Vice City - $14.99
  • Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas - $14.99
  • Rogue Galaxy - $14.99
  • The Mark of Kri - $14.99
  • Twisted Metal: Black - $9.99
  • War of the Monsters - $9.99

Each of the titles above will be up-rendered in 1080p, offer full 'Trophy Support', you will be able to invite a friend to play via 'Share Play', and stream your favorite moments.

The above titles will be available from the Playstation Store starting December 5th for those that reside in the Americas and Europe.
