Sprint today held a press conference to show off its new 'overdrive' 4G offerings. The device acts as a portable hotspot and allows up to 5 devices to be connected at once. The device is intended to replace the traditional home users broadband with a mobile solution.
The device works by a dongle is plugged into a device that creates a hotspot wherever it is located. The 4G speeds can be spread across 5 devices with no noticeable affect on the speed. The device can also seamlessly switch to 3G when in an area where 4G is not offered.
