Battlefield 6's Season 2 content update is no longer coming in January, with the developer saying that it needs more time to polish and improve the experience.

Battlefield 6 is now confirmed to include a battle royale mode featuring a massive map with support for 100 players. Its shrinking ring will be a deadly one though.
EA currently plans to release its next Battlefield experience during its 2026 fiscal year, which probably means a late 2025 launch for the highly anticipated shooter.
The Battlefield installment may be some time away, but EA is kicking off a testing initiative to let developers let players try out slices of the pre-alpha builds.
