Facebook has announced that its Oversight Board has reviewed the suspension of former President Trump's accounts, and decided it was the right thing to do. However, it requested a review of the ban.
Facebook has announced that users of its platforms can now appeal to the Oversight Board when reported content is left up online. Previously, they could only appeal removed content.
Facebook has emphasized that it made the right decision in banning Trump indefinitely but has referred the case to an independent body for review. A decision will be reached in less than 90 days.
