A Spring Sale has sprung on the Humble Store, and sticking to its habits, there's a free game giveaway involved as well. The game being offered on this occasion is The Flame in the Flood, a roguelike title developed by the indie studio The Molasses Flood.
The survival game takes place in the "backwaters of a forgotten post-societal America" where a massive flood has risen the water levels dramatically, with the only hospitable land remaining being small islands that are scattered along the massive rivers. The player and their trusty canine companion must use a raft to visit and explore these islands for resources, all the while avoiding lurking predators.
Released in 2016, The Flame in the Flood currently holds a Mostly Positive user review score on Steam and normally comes with a $14.99 price tag.
The game can be claimed via its Humble Store page for the next two days for free, and is playable on both Windows and macOS. Note that the redeem deadline is set for May 26, so be quick to activate the game on Steam after receiving the key.
