The Honor 9 could potentially arrive on June 12

It has been close to a year since the Honor 8 made its debut in Asia. It now appears that Honor is ready to announce its successor on June 12.

According to a leaked promotional poster, the firm might be prepping to announce the Honor 9 in China. Although the poster doesn't offer much in the way of hints, there have been previous leaks that have shown off the handset in its full glory.

While it will maintain the same general shape as the Honor 8, it should get a boost as far as the internals are concerned. Naturally, we will have to be patient and wait until next week to see what kind of device the Honor 9 will be and what price point it will be pegged.

Honor has been fairly aggressive over the past year about expanding its handsets to a global market. After the announcement in China, the handset should arrive in other markets like Europe and the United States. Last year, the Honor 8 was announced in July in Asia and eventually made an appearance in August in the US.
