As a consequence, there has been intense discussion between Tom's Hardware, AMD and Fujitsu-Siemens in the past two weeks. To recap the situation: when used with the Fujitsu-Siemens D1289 motherboard, for which the AMD Palomino core had originally been specified, the Athlon XP/MP does not receive sufficient protection from overloads."
