Video games will gain a whole new dimension - including a mild sense of nausea - with a contest Aug. 15 at the Tech Museum of Innovation in San Jose, Calif.
Game players who pass qualifying rounds will compete for final prizes in games projected on the museum's giant IMAX screen, believed to be the first time an IMAX screen has been used for gaming.
The Maxgames contest includes the following popular games for all three major game consoles :-
- Xbox: Project Gotham Racing, Halo, Tony Hawk, DOA, NFL Fever
- GameCube: Super Monkey Ball, Soccer Slam, SSX Tricky
- PlayStation2: Gran Turismo, Virtua Fighter 4
