Transport yourself back to the era of Windows 95 with this cleverly-built office simulator

If you work an office job and the day's work isn't quite enough for you, you might want to try out this new game from design professor Pippin Barr titled, It Is As If You Were Doing Work.

The game starts you off by having you log into your computer account, and perform tasks that you might find at an office. This encompasses writing papers, sending emails and clicking dialog boxes. Perhaps the best part of this Windows 95-like experience is all of the sounds that are being played; like chimes, clicks and other audible indicators, that you probably have not heard in ages, but are oddly very familiar with.

After working for a little while, you will get the chance to unwind by taking a break. During this time you can play a brick breaker game or listen to some music. While you're at it, it's your personal workstation, so don't forget to customize it with a wallpaper that reflects your personality.

According to Barr:

“The game poses as an application that humans who have been put out of work by robots and AI can play as a way to recapture the sense they once had of doing work and being productive” “It's a kind of semi-condescending service offered by this new world to those of us who can't deal with it.”

If you want to give it a try, you can click on the source link below. The game will start immediately, playable directly from your browser.
