Tribes: Vengeance Skinning Contest

For those of us who enjoy making skins for characters. You should definitely checkout this contest held by Vivendi Universal Games. The winner of the best skin will be given a high-end graphics card from ATI and in-game credit. What a great way to get a free graphics card for doing what you like.

Vivendi Universal Games, in cooperation with Internet community site Tribalwar.com, announced today a contest to create alternative "skins" for use within Tribes®: Vengeance. The competition, which starts immediately, will end on July 9th when a panel of judges from Vivendi Universal Games, Irrational Games, and Tribalwar.com will select the best skin and award its creator a high-end graphics card from ATI Technologies and an in-game credit. A skin is the two-dimensional texture that is placed over a three-dimensional character model to give it a unique look in a videogame. Tribes: Vengeance will ship to retail stores worldwide in October 2004.
