The Epic Games Store has kicked off its first giveaway of March, offering PC gamers yet another game to add to their ever-growing libraries. Replacing last week's Boxes: Lost Fragments giveaway, a copy of Turnip Boy Robs a Bank is now available for everyone. The indie game is yours to add permanently to your Epic Games Store library within the next seven days.
This is the sequel to Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion from 2021, where the unassuming protagonist has joined a gang and goes on a bank robbery adventure. The rogue-lite adventure from Snoozy Kazoo has players grabbing as much money as possible within three minutes before getting into gunfights with incoming law enforcement.
"This time the career criminal is teaming up with the fearsome Pickled Gang to plan and execute the weirdest heist of all time! Shake down hostages, steal precious valuables, and explore the deep, dark depths and history of the Botanical Bank," says the developer, describing the situation. "However, bank robbing isn’t easy, so be prepared for intense shootouts with security guards, the police, elite swat teams and more."
The studio is currently developing a prequel featuring the vegetable protagonist titled Turnip Boy Steals the Mail, which will dive into his actions that began his criminal career. This will once again switch up the genre too.
Alongside the free game, another goodie bag for a free-to-play game has landed on the store too. Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms players on the Epic Games Store can claim the Raistlin's Renown Pack to keep, which the developer Codename Entertainment says contains over $100 worth of add-ons inside it.
Turnip Boy Robs a Bank is free to claim on the Epic Games Store until March 12, which is when another freebie offer will take its place. Next week, Cozy Grove and Isonzo will be the latest giveaways.
