WinZip 9.0 Beta 2 Build 5611

This is the latest version of WinZip, the world's most popular file compression and extraction utility. The program's well-developed interface allows you to zip and unzip files with drag-and-drop ease. By associating the program with common compression types, WinZip automatically goes to work whenever you click a supported file. The program also integrates into the Windows shell context window, so you can perform many tasks without leaving Explorer.

What's new:

Shortcut menus for files in the WinZip Classic interface main window now include commands associated with the file's generic type, if one is defined
WinZip now supports the What's This? menu for many dialog controls
The animated dialogs that appear when adding or extracting files now include a progress meter
WinZip now supports the New, Open, Favorites, Close, Print, and Send (mail) keys on keyboards with these "application" keys
The confirmation dialog that appears when a file will be overwritten during an extract operation has been modified to more closely resemble standard Windows overwrite dialogs
