Not sure if anyone has spotted this utility over at Steve Gibson's site..., so I thought I'd post it just in case... ;)

What the heck is Wizmo?

Wizmo is an extremely useful "Windows Gizmo" I created when I could not find anything else on the Net to do similar jobs.

Wizmo is a multi-purpose, miscellaneous Windows function, "catch all" with a growing list of uncommon but useful features and capabilities.

Wizmo is present on every one of my Windows machines. I use it many times per day and I have grown to rely upon it so much that, if it didn't already exist, I would drop everything and write it again. It is that useful.

Some of Wizmo's features, (issued via simple command line parameters) :-

• Trigger Windows standby or long-term hibernation mode
• Log off the current user, exit, restart (reboot) or shutdown windows or the computer
• Turn off all monitors
• Collection of audio commands, capable of setting the system's volume or even muting the sound before and after the screen saver comes into play
• Screen Saver functions, activate the systems screen saver, blank to current desktop, and including activate the unique "Graviton" screen saver, with some interesting effects like Happy Trails, Trail Mix, Escalation, Flux Percolator, Nucleotide and Vortex
