Microsoft has awarded Recoton Corporation the contract to develop and manufacture the speech recognition-capable accessory product. The unique voice recognition and communication features of the Xbox will enable users to operate and control certain games using voice commands through the headset as well as talk with other gamers in online games. Just imagine bossing someone that is half a world away like as if he was sitting right beside you. Forget complicated commands, just say the words and you got it.
Back in July, Plantronics, announced that it was selected by Microsoft to provide the headset for the Communicator. The headset, designed specifically for the Xbox, plugs directly into the Xbox Communicator. The styled emerald- green headset is designed to fit comfortably and enhance the imagination and competitive spirit of the Xbox game experience. Since then, people have never stopped discussing the possibilities and just imagining the absolute fun it will bring to what is already the best console in the industry.
The headset features a noise-canceling microphone that will enable gamers to use a combination of voice and hand controls to navigate, strategize and guide the game they are playing. Rumors have it that Microsoft is also trying to set up some kind of option that will allow players to change their voice, for security reasons.
