Xbox Game Pass subscribers can now support Mixer streamers for free

Microsoft has been making big bets on gaming in recent years, and those efforts have transcended into the realm of game streaming with Mixer. Not only has the company recently brought in the popular streamer Ninja into its roster, it's previously offered many ways viewers can support streamers. One example is the introduction of Skills and Embers last year.

Now, Xbox Game Pass subscribers have yet another way to show their love for their favorite Mixer streamers. When a user signs up for any variant of Xbox Game Pass, or upgrades Xbox Live Gold to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, they now have a 30-day period to enter a code for their preferred streamer in the Xbox Game Pass app for Android and iOS devices, or the Xbox beta app for Windows. Doing so will grant the chosen creator with a $3 bonus at no cost to the user. This option is only available for new members, so if you've been using Game Pass for a while, you won't be able to do it.

The option to support a creator can be found under the user menu on the Xbox beta app on Windows 10 with an update rolling out today, and it will be available in the Xbox Game Pass app later this week. You can head here to find a list of streamers that can be supported by the Xbox Game Pass Creators Program.

Microsoft says this is just one of the new ways that are coming to help viewers support their favorite creators, so if you can't do it through this method, there may be something for you soon. In the meantime, you can get Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for just $2 right now.
