dBpoweramp Music Converter 2025.11.12 changelog:
- dBpoweramp has introduced a new resampler, ARDFTSRC, the result of three months of focused development. This new resampler offers several advantages over SSRC, one of the most respected options currently available. ARDFTSRC supports conversion to arbitrary sample rates (for example, 123456 Hz) and introduces new global resampler options under Control Center → Advanced, including settings for Maximum Bandwidth and Minimum Phase (which reduces pre-ringing). The Resample DSP effect now allows users to select modes that override the global configuration.
- The CD Ripper and ID Tag tools now use the Windows Image Acquisition method for scanning, always displaying the system scanning dialog. The separate menu option for scan settings has been removed for a more streamlined experience.
- Additionally, dBpoweramp has officially ended 32-bit support. From now on, only 64-bit versions will be provided, reflecting the fact that 64-bit CPUs have been standard for over two decades and there is no longer a market for 32-bit systems.
- Using new file selection code, if run Converter can now choose hundred of thousands of tracks
- Redone overwrite check, now a 2 stage process, speeded up and removed app freeze whilst it does checking, converting 250K files takes minutes to check, not an hour
- Overwrite form, Unique button functions better
- MP4Handler new Apple tag fields
- MP4Handler tag writer added picture data sanity checks
- mp4/m4a update, more efficient parsing of very large files
- Lame updated to 3.101.b3 with q4 patch (windows and macos) and avx512 optimisations (windows)
- Bit Depth DSP: Added 64 bit IEEE-float
- Sample Rate Conversion: new ARDFTSRC resampler method.
- Global resampler quality and choice setting, as well as ability to override on Resample DSP effect.
- Wavpack encoding mode high and extra high labelled differently
- CD Ripper: for discs with no metadata, if apply track offset then Track names change accordingly. Also Title always shown as 'Track X' when no metadata.
- CD Ripper: manual Track Offset applied to a disc saved in dB Cache (metadata)
- Bug Fix: CD Ripper: Pre-Empthasis fix where it was not being correctly applied / or applied to other tracks which had no pre-empthasis (would require one track on disc to be pre-empthasis)
- Bug Fix: Volume Normalize DSP would not read IEEE_FLOAT correctly if passed in a WaveFormatExtensible header
