WACUP 1.99.36.22278 Preview changelog:
Changed
- Changed the setting to run the configured visualisation plug-in(s) on WACUP start-up to be disabled by default as this is causing unwanted behaviour with some modern skins depending on the visualisation
- Changed how the different instances interact with each other for externally adding of items (i.e. play / enqueue / enqueue & play) to better deal with batch selections despite each item being treated as a separate WACUP instance with how the likes of Explorer will handle things which should resolve some of the complaints (when it was working, see below) that files weren't always being added as expected
Fixed
- Fixed the cause for some installs having multiple instances get opened when trying to open files externally of it (e.g. from Explorer) despite the default on preference option to avoid that being enabled
- Fixed a classic skin window related handling issue which could either cause a crash during initial loading or hang when switching to a modern skin depending on how many windows were configured to be shown
- Fixed a potential deadlock which could occur when trying to do some local library inspection or clean-up actions via the maintenance preference tab if other actions were still being made against that db
- Fixed the cause for some main playlist item item titles not being generated (e.g. as part of a batch external add) due to the processing thread incorrectly closing despite items still present to process
- Fixed some of the stream metadata from being displayed in ATF strings for various stream types but affected MP3 & AAC based streams the most due to an intended side-effect of a crash fix in the prior build
- Fixed a problem from the recently added option to start playback again from the first item / re-init the shuffle list which could prevent specific playlist items (e.g. via enqueue & play) from being played
- Fixed the local library view being force refreshed on some metadata changes (e.g. ratings) which in some instances might cause the newly set metadata to be overriden by what was previously set in the file
- Fixed a regression which is preventing some of the library playlist node item reorganising from being saved between instances (there's likely some issues still probably with the handling within groups)
- Fixed a plug-in conflict with which is used for virtual playlist items causing some formats (e.g. RSN) from working correctly (this also with the legacy input plug-in issue below prevented any playback)
- Fixed a regression which is preventing some of the older non-unicode 3rd party plug-ins (e.g. in_shn) from being matched when attempting to find the input plug-in to use for playback or file metadata
- Fixed a regression with the handling of the 1.x pacemaker plug-in due to some of the changes made for the 2.x versions of the plug-in that caused it's main window to disappear preventing controlling it
Updated
- Updated libcurl (libcurl.dll) to 8.16.0 (10 Sep 2025)
