LG's Wing smartphone is certainly unique, if nothing else. While the South Korean firm has been focusing on single-screen smartphones that use dual-screen accessories, this is its first truly dual-screen smartphone. But it's not the conventional kind either.
The LG Wing has a display on a swivel. Normally, it looks just like a regular old rectangular smartphone, until you swing the display around and it looks like you'd see in the image above. At this point, you're probably wondering how this could be useful.
There are a whole bunch of experiences that work with it. For example, while driving, you can use the big screen for navigation and the smaller bottom screen for your music application. You can also use the bottom screen as a keyboard for applications that are in landscape orientation.
Also, and possibly the most exciting part of it is that you can use the camera in a new gimbal mode. You can use the bottom screen to control the camera, changing its direction, zoom, focus, and so on. It's pretty awesome.
The device is powered by a Snapdragon 765G 5G chipset, along with 8GB RAM. The main screen is 6.8 inches at 20.5:9 with an FHD+ resolution (2,460x1,080, 395ppi), while the second screen is 3.9 inches at 1.15:1 with 1,240x1,080 resolution. The main screen is P-OLED while the secondary screen is G-OLED.
For the camera, it has a 64MP main sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, and it actually has two ultra-wide sensors, a 13MP f/1.9 sensor and a 12MP 'Big Pixel' f/2.2 sensor. It's got a 4,000mAh battery, and it starts at $999. Check out the unboxing video below:
