If you are looking for a new SSD that is fast and has plenty of storage, Samsung has a nice offer for you. The 4TB Samsung 990 PRO SSD with a heatsink is now available at its lowest price ever, allowing you to save 27% and get this fast, high-capacity solid-state drive for $279.99 on Amazon.

The Samsung 990 PRO SSD is a previous-gen flagship solid-state drive, which was recently superseded by the PCIe Gen5 9100 PRO. It uses a PCIe 4.0 interface and a custom controller, which enable great speeds of up to 7,450 MB/s read and 6,900 MB/s, assuming you have a PCIe Gen4 motherboard and processor. Samsung adds that the drive is compatible not only with computers but with consoles as well, which makes it a good contender for a storage upgrade in your PlayStation 5.

As for the warranty, Samsung offers a 5-year limited warranty or 2400 TBW (total board write) cycles. In addition, the drive is rated for 1.5 million hours of work. To prolong the lifespan of the drive and ensure sustained performance under heavy loads, Samsung equipped the 990 PRO with a heatsink that also has some lights for extra flair.

You can monitor the drive, update its firmware, and customize it with additional features using the Samsung Magician app, which is available on Windows.
