Things missing

a. Hacked files
Since I had to work on this release by myself, I decided not to include any hacked files. This means you will not find any uxtheme or tcpip fix. Of course, modules can be done for those later.

b. Registry undos
The Registry Undo tool will not function. We will need to rearrange the registry undo files. If you need to undo a registry tweak, you may ask for the specific file in the forum.

Torrents

BitTorrent is a P2P system that makes transfering large files (or groups of files) amongst a large group of people easy, fast and efficient. The BitTorrent network is impressive mostly for the speed and reliability with which you get files that have been recently released. As long as a .torrent file has enough people sharing then you can be assured that it will start quickly and maintain a good download speed.

Always remember to leave your BitTorrent client open to help distribute the files!

Thanks for Autopatcher. Such a great program. One question though - after installing autopatcher 5.0 some of the updates and tweaks, etc in the main window are bolded black, some are plain black, and some are blue. What do the different colors represent?

Thanks

Sorry, I can't.

IMO, you should have mod privs over this sub-forum... (but only this one) because you're the project manager, and it's a bit of a PITA from what I see that you have to wait for some1 else to edit/sticky/remove posts/threads that contain important info etc....

Maybe we should PM someone higher up about this...

Legend

Bold is for root items (color depends, see bellow)

Black is for official items which are not installed (or some child item is not installed)

Blue is for official items which are already installed

Green is for official items with all child items installed (blue or green)

Red is for unofficial items (whether they are installed or not). A suffix is also added.

so after we have run the AP5 executable, it installs itself into the program files folder, are we then able to burn to disk the ap folder that is in program files, and will it work from a cd, like APXP 4.x?

or does this version have to run from the local hdd?

A couple of comments/questions.

When installing, is there supposed to be an icon to the AutoPatcher program placed on the desktop/start menu?

Also, when I run AutoPatcher, I am prompted to located 'CDBurnerXP Pro 3.msi'. I don't know if this is because I have CDBurner Pro installed (which I do) or because a removed module isn't quite setup right.

This is a great program. A sincere thank you to Raptor and everybody who has been involved in development.

Respectfully,

Jacob

AutoPatcher will not clutter your desktop or start menu. Some people only want to extract and burn so I respect that.

CDBurnerXP is probably using some old file which gets updated by AutoPatcher (or one of its modules itself).
