^I'm gonna download another copy from the torrent aj-design created and match the MD5. Since I made an image of the computer, I'm gonna ghost it and install the new copy I download of AutoPatcher (hopefully I will get the same MD5 number).

Here is a sshot of my previous post since I could not edit it.

For people with the problem where the autorun text comes out blank!

i solved the problem.. although its not a very convinient solution...

my xp is english version, however, the non-unicode languge chosen for it was chinese. it seems that the autopatch won't work if its anything other than english.

So all you gota do is switch it back to english in the Reigional and Lanuge Options...

I hope the developers would get a fix on that asap!

later~

Thanks for pointing out this workaround. I'll see if I can fix this. I'm guessing it's something in the unicode decoder...

edit: actually, mine is set to Greek and I have no problems at all... we will have to see which languages are affected...

Second copy of Autopatcher MD5 is 9584E9F479963D9B75411169FC356453. Now it matched.

The first copy I downloaded it at school on Friday morning, nw_raptor, why different MD5 in a couple of days?

edit: The first copy was created 1/21/2005 @ 11:03am. Second copy was created 1/23/2005 @ 2:50pm.

OK, I have done a quick solution to the translation problem. Not sure if this will solve the problem, but it should make it better...

Download the following file, extract the archive replacing the old AutoPatcher.exe.

AutoPatcher.zip

Problem sloved, thank u~

Can I ask a few questions...

When i ran it, i went thru each menu myself and deseleted what i didnt want to be installed, right? right... Then I hit update and it runs and finishes, I reboot and what do I see on my computer? Things I did not ever want.

Google Toolbar for IE? Why was this even installed?

PowerMenu? What does it do in the first place?

And a few extra icons in the control panel that i DID NOT ask for.

So please tell me. Why did it install these extra options that I did not even find the option to disabling in the autopatcher menu?

edit: So I see it was in the "whats included list" but why couldnt I have had the option to NOT install these things? And is there a way to undo all changes done by autopatcher?

These are the matches I created the torrents from:

9584e9f479963d9b75411169fc356453 AutoPatcher_XP_Jan2005_Full.exe <-File

9584E9F479963D9B75411169FC356453 -Actual MD5

bc6c4b8eea9a5c24ac1b148aa9cc3d3f AutoPatcher_XP_Jan2005_Lite.exe <-File

BC6C4B8EEA9A5C24AC1B148AA9CC3D3F -Actual MD5

They match exactly, so I'm not sure why it would be any different...I always seem to get the early copy and not the final copy with EVERY release though...I'm out of the loop when it comes to last minute changes though usually...

I think I got an early copy too, how? I dunno, but I will do another installation on a fresh WinXP OS with the second copy of Autopatcher I got dated 1/23/2005.

My mistake, please discard my post above... I am just blind.. Anyways, I was just wondering if there was a way to uninstall things that were installed by autopatcher through autopatcher?

I don't think so Xtreme $niper. You will have to use Add/Remove Programs to revome what you don't want.

Ignore those File Monitor entries; Executables can point to virtual files (It's the simplest I can put it)...

Is the operating system language Polish or is that just the Regional Settings?

nw_raptor:

Could the Module Editor panel be made scrollable or resizable??

The full panel does not show on my laptop. Kinda makes it hard to enter/revirew modules.

I'll see what I can do :)

it is really the problem. im using server 2003 rc1, it couldn't extract any more,, just popped up a msgbox as i mentioned before. and when i extracted the files under longhorn and come back to 2003 build 1289, the same problem came up as demonstrated in the legend.

but you can install separated patches despite the wizard.

what was the wrong? and how to resolve that ?!

585340880[/snapback]

I believe I had the same problem.

I had made a shortcut on my desktop to the file. I had to add the path of that fie to the "Start In" field property f the shortcut.

    • DriversCloud 12.1.6 by Razvan Serea With DriversCloud (formerly My-Config.com), you can explore your computer easily, safely and free. The application quickly scans your PC and identifies the hardware and software components. DriversCloud then establishes a list of the different drivers compatible with your OS and hardware. Download the drivers needed for the proper functioning of your computer. To detect your drivers, DriversCloud also displays a detailed summary of your hardware and software configuration, analyzes your BSOD, monitors in real-time your PC voltages and temperatures and lets you share your configuration online. Once the hardware components have been detected, you will be able to obtain with just a few clicks the latest drivers corresponding to the identified hardware. You can record your configuration on the site for free, and can get the corresponding URL to post the configuration to technical forums, e-mail and social networks. You can also download the detection result (the configuration) as a PDF file. To protect the user's privacy and data confidentiality, a 4-level confidentiality system was created that filters the XML marks and gives control to the user. The default level can be modified in the preferences. Using the maximum level will prevent the user from publishing his configuration and generating a corresponding PDF file. In non-connected mode, each XML configuration is stored on the server for one day (for practical reasons). However, you are given the opportunity to manually delete it. Created in 2004, and continually improved, My-Config.com has established itself on the web as a free service to PC users running Windows and Linux operating systems. The service is designed to work with the most common Internet browsers (Edge, Firefox, Chrome, Safari).
