does anyone else think that this version of the game just does not have the allure of the second game?

does for me. black ops online sucked after a while. treyarch can never figure out how to do online like infinity ward can unless it's zombies.

You're forgetting that the infinity ward that made the games you like doesn't exist anymore. It's Infinity Ward only in name.

not really, a lot of the original guys are still there. whoever didn't stay got replaced with sledgehammer guys. we'll see what happens though.

Personally, I'm looking forward to seeing what the new group can do. Considering how awful MW2's multiplayer was and how mediocre the Treyarch installments are, I always thought that the franchise's multiplayer could benefit from a new set of eyes.

Nice. That new flag mode is looking pretty similar to Team Oddball from Halo (which I'm sure was taken from some other game long ago) which I was never a fan of, but I'll try anything once.

Truthfully, I'll probably end up spending the majority of my time in Team Deathmatch and Search & Destroy again :).

yeah it's definitely like odd ball. i like the claim your kill thing though, puts a twist on team deathmatch that'll make it more competitive.

That should be pretty good. Hopefully it encourages some more direct gunfights, as opposed to sniping and killstreak rampaging (not that there's anything necessarily wrong with those two things, but a change of pace is always nice). Though I can see that "kill confirmed!" voice getting annoying in a hurry  .

I really like the capture and run the flag thing.

And kill confirmed and denied will definetely put a sense of immersiveness in the matches.

One question though, if anyone knows the answer:

You kill a guy and didn't confirmed the kill, will it still be added as +1 in your stats or you must confirm the kill to register it?

looks good..

looks GOOOOOOD tongue.gif

conan style..

but then again

why arent the competing with BF3?? the graphics look so outdated.. Also the rest of it feels pretty much the same as MW2. I think the are just sticking to the winning formula

It's unfair to use these trailers to talk about the graphics since those trailers where on a console and not on a pc, since consoles are outdated atm compared to high end pc's they are forced to keep the same quality because those consoles just can't do any better then that(on bf3 they screwed the fps 50% lower, thats also not a good idea...)

So we should have to compare desktop versiosn when it's out on high end pc's before we can say anything about that.

*facepalm*

Dude.

That is, literally, the same engine the same HUD and even the same goddamn font as MW2

the kill confirm points go to your entire team, not just you. you still get the +1 for killing the guy, but you won't get the bonus points. whoever picks up the tags teams gets them and you may get a bonus for denying a kill confirm. they explained it on their live stream they did with IGN. the livestream was sweet, the game looks awesome.

imma go out on a limb and say BF3 is going to look better. though CoD main focus has always been getting the game optimized as possible to get it running at 60fps, they care about that more then graphics.

Better then BF3 with a waaaaaay too low fps...

Yes I agree that more than half of gamers out there cannot afford a setup to play every game on ULTRA but here's the thing.

Every now and then, a game should be released which pushes the PC specs to the limit. It was Crysis before then came Metro 2033 and now BF 3.

If we don't get these kind of demanding games then what is the point of upgrading your PC? What is the point of producing new GPUs and CPUs?

Today, we need more and more of these kind of games so that new hardware comes to the market at affordable prices and more and more people, who care about PC, buy it. This is the only way PC gaming will survive.

If you are just releasing a new game with the same old engine, then their isn't a point.

Played some SP. Not impressed at all. With the exception of a couple cool set-piece moments, it's really nothing to brag about.

It's constant Michael Bay music blaring and gun-fire everywhere. Just hurry-up hurry-up orders given to keep you from sitting around long enough to notice how bland the experience really is.

It really doesn't feel like a new game in the very least. A hefty X-pack at best.

Seems FPShooters have reached their limits as far as diversifying the SP experience goes.

They all really are starting to feel exactly the same.

to be fair though, there is a crap load of games out there, AAA ones that sell amazingly well, that use old engines. just because the engine is old doesn't mean it's bad. it's about what you can do with it. that's like saying an last gen amg or lambo engine is bad when mclaren and audi use them on new cars.

    • LOL. Can't even quote and edit a comment correctly. Figures you're a Linux user.
    • I have disabled it, but the app is still taking space. I have a Mac and it is only possible to disable Ai on that, but I think that bit does get rid of the AI components after a while. What we are told is that we agree to all this when we use the devices as it is in the end user agreements, their software, they can do what they like. I doubt that any bill will happen in the U.S, the government there are in league with big tech firms. The E.U maybe, they seem to have some guts when it comes to tech companies. The U.K is not in the E.U, but some things still affect us. Our government is as gutless when it comes to tech companies as the U.s government.
