If you want straight console, go with the gamecube.

But, if you want an all in one arcade box + console, get an xbox. I got an xbox with a mod chip and I put all sorts of emulators on it. I can play all arcade games, nes, snes, amiga, commodore, n64, and turbor grafx16 games on it. I'm playing all the classics I loved all on 1 console which is awsome.

I have a PS2 and a gamecube, so for me those are the best. I have yet to try an X-box so can't say if I like it or not. I am not into the one is better than the other argument, I believe it's the games that make the system. The system could have the best hardware and crapy games will drag it down (nintendo64). But that is just me.

I just bought a xbox last week so i will say xbox is better but my one is not modded yet.

A question for modded xbox owners is modding a xbox hard. cz I can open the console( already did) but never tried to install one modchip. My previous modding experience was PSX-CHANGE boot cd for PS1 that would allow me to play burnt games.

i thought it was gonna be hard too, but it wasnt. i soldered the xenium chip and the only hard part was the D0 point which was reaaaallly small. but it wasnt too difficult. shouldnt take more then 30-40 min on a first try

what is ur most favourite gaming console?

i added computer in because some people prefer to play games on their computer even though i know its not really a "console".

my favourite is the PS2 cos it has the best games. :D

Agreed with you. The best games are in PS2.

For console, XBOX. However, PC and XBOX should be counted as the same thing. All an XBOX really is is a P3-733MHz, 128MB Ram, DVD-ROM, and a 10GB Harddrive. In addition, the XBOX "OS" is just Windows 2000 Professional with the XBOX shell file (replace explorer.exe with somthing like "xbxshell.exe"). Other than that, and the controllers ports, it is really just a PC. However, PC's you can have more power, more functionality, better graphics (remember, XBOX connects to a TV, wich uses NTSC format video and audio, which is very poor compared to an LCD Monitor). Just a few thoughts...

Pc is the best, then XBOX, then PS2, then gamecube (if you can even call that a next-gen system -- it has NO functionality compared to the PS2 or XBOX).

    • Yup, broke my comp… again. its times like this when I regret AMD. This just never happens on NV.
    • Huh? You're delusional calling the Steam Deck dead. It is so successful that it has sold out multiple times. Even after the price hike this year it sold out again with 24 hours of being back in stock. The demand is real and has not died down even after four years.
    • Same place "Unreal III" is, in everyone's thoughts!
    • So how much water is used in that "initial charge" and how often will it need to be recharged?
