I voted no. I'm not trying to turn this into a whole ios vs android debate; but I got my Samsung Galaxy s 2 in white the other day and it is amazing. I don't think any OS can drag me away from it now :).

As for the conference, I'm guessing they will launch a 4GS and an iPhone 5. The iphone 5 can't have a teardrop design otherwise it would fail epically in landscape mode!

I am with you. I wonder if they will launch 2? I really think it could be..

Also I am a current Android user ( Samsung Galaxy S Captivate ) and REALLY love the look of the SGS2 and REALLY want to get it.... which it is coming to AT&T Oct 2nd, but I am going to wait to see how big this new 5 is. If it has the 3.7 or 4 inch screen... I am sold.. we already know its going to have the dual core... well at least we think it will

Still got another year with my HTC Desire, I'll be due for a new phone roughly in time for the iPhone 6 (or whatever they decide to call it). If that phone includes LTE I *might* consider it but currently have my heart set on successor to the Galaxy S2 (since that'll most likely be out by the time my contract expires).

Im with Rudy and Tech Star.

I have a launch 3GS. Launch day purchase June 15, 2009. It's time for this phone, as awesome as its life been with me, to finally upgrade.

I want a bigger screen and im not to worried about design, i like the iphone 4. Its pretty thin and light as it is, if they can go thinner, holy crap, if they cant, big deal. I love how the iphone 4 feels. My dad had one and I love it. Also with an otterbox (i dont care what your excuse is but if im paying $100+ for a phone / for such an expensive phone to replace, im getting protection), its not too bulky, still pops out of the pocket easy, works great. I love it.

So im hoping the same for the next iPhone

The ridiculousness of this poll is the amount of people blindly saying they will buy a product they haven't even seen.

Truly incredible how much people are influenced by marketing to the point of complete inability to think rationally.

I think the poll was created with the intention that people wouldn't vote before Tuesday's announcement.

I don't think it's as ridiculous as you are making it out to be. We've seen the software and similar hardware in the iPad 2 (if previous trends are followed). Personally I am not happy with the state of Android, and while I'm happy with the direction of Windows Phone 7 it's not where it needs to be yet. With those two eliminated, factoring in all that we know already about the iPhone I think it's pretty fair to say "I'm getting the next iPhone".

I know right, crazy. Say when did you preorder Battlefield 3?

Erm, I think Battlefield 3 has been publicly acknowledged....

Right. But I do wonder if he pre-ordered it before playing it or seeing actual gameplay and not just trailers. I mean you wouldn't just buy a phone based on an advert online you'd try it in store right? That's how I feel about games.

Pretty much, we know software wise were apple is heading, we know there's hardware improvement, although nothing specific, it's good enough for some, especially those whom have owned iPhone's since the original. All in all, they keep getting better :)
