excellent set of walls, thanks (Y)

Yeah I'm using the abstract ones - I like the styles that have been chosen, but if I ever want to freshen them up, the included PSDs have the side bars.

I'm using this Batman lockscreen

Does anyone know if Tiger Woods 10 PSP works on Vita, dont wanna buy it and find out it doesnt work. Getting bored of Everybodys Golf manga-ness.

Can't answer your question, all I can say is hopefully we do see a new Tiger Woods on the Vita utilizing the graphics.

FYI Tiger Woods 10 PSP doesn't work on Vita, won't met me download using the Vita and the content manager doesn't see the game on the PS3.

Waste of ?16, that'll teach me for not doing my research.

Sucks, hopefully in the next update it'll become compatible.

play some more U:GA last night - it just gets better and better and im still early in the game.

my only complaints are the lack of a proper save function, and the treasure hunting. i feel the treasure hunting is too cumbersome and time consuming. i know i dont have to look for them, but i want to. i find myself constantly going to my notebook every couple of minutes trying to remember what im looking for.

Weeeeee I love the screenshot function of the Vita.

One of the best shots ive chipped in so far.

Nice! I was so proud of myself after my first birdie chip-in, but it wasn't from as far away as that one. I'm still not great at that game, but it's the first golf game that I have purchased since the original Hot Shots Golf on the Playstation 1, so I'm still trying to get the hang of things. I'm definitely enjoying it, though. I actually gave in and played a quick ten minutes before work this morning.

Oh, and Street Fighter x Tekken next week! I've been excited about that game for a while, and being able to play it on my Vita just sweetens the deal.

Must have the drug :p

I'm starting up Tactics Ogre to see what all the fuss is about over this game.

If you like TRPGs it's a GREAT game :) But I found it did get a bit repetitive around the end, but the multiple paths are cool

Not really a fan of them, or should I say I just completely avoided them. But never a better time to try!

Haha, definitely :). It's just so easy when the system is already in standby and the course is already loaded up.

And I enjoyed Tactics Ogre when I played it way back in the day, but it's definitely slow-paced, and like Rudy said, it can become repetitive (especially when you have to "train" your army before each major battle). Way slower paced than Final Fantasy Tactics, that's for sure. Still good, though.

I thought the Vita version wasn't coming out until later this year?

Yeah, you're right - I just checked a few minutes ago. I missed the news completely on that one :(. Ahh well, I still have more than enough on my plate for the time being.

Ouch that sucks. What I have been doing is browsing from the Playstation Store on the Vita. It tells you right there if the game is compatible or not. Helped save me a few purchases.

I really just think Uncharted is a bad game so far, but it keeps getting praise so perhaps I need to push on. But I really feel like all of the touch stuff is just dumb. And I am enjoying so many other games right now, I just have no desire to check it out. Maybe one day I will give it a proper go.

So speaking of other games, Wipeout is just amazing in all regards. I am a huge fan of the PS3 version, and it really is that version in your hands. And I cannot notice any real lack of speed whatsoever, and if I could I would absolutely say I did. But the 30 FPS truly is no issue at all. The game looks and runs amazingly. Just such a great game.

I have not even put in Hot Shots yet still. I know I am going to enjoy it so just waiting for the initial play as many launch games as I can phase to die down, and then I will enjoy it.

Also a little side note and shameless plug, we just recorded the latest Neowin Gaming podcast last night. Should be up in the next couple of days. Most of it is me talking about the Vita. Like to the point I actually apologize at the end of the podcast to the other guys for talking so much. LOL

I actually traded in Uncharted at the weekend to get Rayman instead. Just didnt enjoy it much at all and the touchy bits are a pain. However, Rayman is awesome :) and i got Wipeout too which is also amazing.

Wow Sony arent very helpful.

I bought Tiger Woods 10 and they said "It shouldnt have let you buy Tiger Woods on Vita" so i said "Well why did it let me purchase it through the vita then" and they said "I dont know but if you read the description it will have said compatible with PSP only so therefore we wouldnt be able to do anything for you".

Thanks. So I just spent ?280 on a Vita, memory card and Uncharted, loaded my account with nearly ?200 worth of credit, bought PS+ and a load of digital titles and there is nothing they can do for me, great customer service there.

Is there really that much of a diffrence of loading time between Memory card vs Vita Card.

Not really, its a matter of a second or two, if you dont have them side by side you arent going to notice.

Am I the only one who really didn't like the controls for Rayman?

Are you using the thumbs for control or the D-Pad as i found it a little annoying on the thumbs (unless its the underwater sections) so use the d-pad a lot. The controls are not bad and feel pretty ok.

Currently the only controls which are bugging me are the ones for escape plan, i swear sometimes i swipe and they ignore it, a couple of levels really want to make you chuck the Vita at a wall.

Finally got my refund for Super Stardust today, so I finally repurchased that and finally have a version that installs properly. Forgot how much fun this game can be so I definitely can see myself putting UC:GA on the back burner for a bit as I start playing more of this. I think I may enjoy it on the Vita more than the bigscreen, except when it's in 3D (looks too damn amazing and is the best looking 3D game, imo).

Literally just taking a little break from playing it right now, and nothing wrong with the controls at all on my end, in fact they seem incredibly responsive and fluid. :iiam:

Agreed, it actually may be better than it's PS3 counterpart, except as you pointed out the 3D on the PS3 is phenomenal. Pretty much my favorite of any game actually.

Really would love to get my hands on a Vita right now, but unfortunately money says no :(

Regarding the 3D on SSHD it really is amazing on the PS3 although I still think that the 3D on GT5 within a cockpit is better. Other great games I feel are KZ3 and UC3.

    • Nothing kills CMF Phone 2 Pro's successor due to rising memory prices by Hamid Ganji Storage and RAM prices have been rising over the past year, leading to a significant increase in the cost of electronics for customers around the world. Many companies are now revising their plans for upcoming devices due to higher component costs and overall production expenses. CMF is the latest company to cancel the successor to one of its best-selling phones due to rising memory prices. CMF is a sub-brand of Nothing and focuses on making budget smartphones for growing markets. The brand launched the CMF Phone 2 Pro last year with some eye-catching specifications and an affordable price. While many customers may have been waiting for a successor this year, one of the company’s executives has announced that CMF will not release a new smartphone this year. And AI is to blame. As Nothing co-founder Akis Evangelidis announced on X, the company has been working on a successor to the CMF Phone 2 Pro, but with current memory prices, it cannot “build a phone that feels like a genuine step forward at a price that makes sense for CMF.” So, no new CMF phone will be launched this year. Meanwhile, Evangelidis said the company still has several new products in the pipeline, including some in entirely new categories. He added that the Nothing brand will also continue launching new products through 2026. Budget smartphones are among the first victims of the surge in RAM and memory prices, as they have become more expensive to build. The sharp increase in memory costs could also reshape the traditional price ranges associated with budget phones. Apple CEO Tim Cook also recently said that price increases for some of the company’s products are unavoidable because RAM and memory have become significantly more expensive this year. Analysts estimate that the base price of the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro could rise to $1,399 due to current market shortages.
    • Nudge me when they bring back hardware audio acceleration so I can get my EAX 5 back. We've evolved graphics to real-time path tracing, but regressed audio some 15 years back in time with this stupid software audio stack.
    • Ocenaudio 3.19.4 by Razvan Serea Ocenaudio is a full featured, fast and easy to use audio and music editor. It is the ideal software for people who need to edit and analyze audio files without complications. Ocenaudio also has powerful features that will please more advanced users. To assist ocenaudio development, a powerful toolset of audio editing, analysis and manipulation called Ocen Framework was created. ocenaudio is also based on Qt framework, a well known library for cross-platform development. Cross-platform support ocenaudio is available for all major operating systems: Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X and Linux. Native applications are generated for each platform from a common source, in order to achieve excelent performance and seamless integration with the operating system. All versions of ocenaudio have a uniform set of features and the same graphical interface, so the skills you learn in one platform can be used in the others. VST plugins support Ocenaudio supports VST (Virtual Studio Technology) plugins, giving its users access to numerous effects. Like the native effects, VST effects can use real-time preview to aide configuration. Real-time preview of effects Applying effects such as EQ, gain and filtering is an important part of audio editing. However, it is very tricky to get the desired result by adjusting the controls configuration alone: you must listen the processed audio. To ease the configuration of audio effects, ocenaudio has a real time preview feature: you hear the processed signal while adjusting the controls. The effect configuration window also includes a miniature view of the selected audio signal. You can navigate on this miniature view in the same way as you do on the main interface, selecting parts that interest you and listening to the effect result in real time. Multiselection for delicate editions To speed up complex audio files editing, ocenaudio includes multi-selection. With this amazing tool, you can simultaneously select different portions of an audio file and listen, edit or even apply an effect to them. For example, if you want to normalize only the excerpts of an interview where the interviewee is talking, just select them and apply the effect. Eficient edition of large files With ocenaudio, there is no limit to the length or the quantity of the audio files you can edit. Using an advanced memory management system, the application keeps your files open without wasting any of your computer's memory. Even in files several hours long, common editing operations such as copy, cut or paste happen almost instantly. Fully featured spectrogram Besides offering an incredible waveform view of your audio files, ocenaudio has a powerful and complete spectrogram view. In this view, you can analyze the spectral content of your audio signal with maximum clarity. Advanced users will be surprised to find that the spectrogram settings are applied in real time. The display is updated immediately when altering features such as the number of frequency bands, window type and size and dynamic range of the display. Ocenaudio 3.19.4 changelog: Adds fallback fonts so every language and symbol displays correctly Improves autosave and session recovery stability Improves region navigation and display Fixes a crash when the level meter is used on displays with a scaling greater than 200% Fixes memory corruption when using the silence selection tools Fixes crashes when closing a file while effects are still being processed Fixes a freeze when applying effects to many files at once (macOS) Fixes crashes related to audio devices on Windows Fixes invalid file names when exporting regions whose label is used as the file name Other bug fixes and improvements Download: Ocenaudio 64-bit | Portable | ~40.0 MB (Freeware) Download: Ocenaudio for Linux and Mac OS View: Ocenaudio Homepage | Screenshot Get alerted to all of our Software updates on Twitter at @NeowinSoftware

    • This got me thinking, would you rather a self driving car prioritise protecting its passengers or everyone else? I'd choose the one that keeps me and my kids safest. At some point, these cars have to make those choices already, don't they? Wonder if we have a way to find out what way they lean.
