Then they need psychological help. Men are men and women are women. It's not even a social concept. It's completely biological.

Plus it's a distraction for others in a school or work environment.

did you choose your height? your skin color? your hair or eye color?

by the way, you are not a man either.... men are supposed to be 6 ft+, 200lbs+, dark hair, dark eyes, dark skin /s

Again, until nudism is allowed at oxford this is political pandering and not a freeing of the dress code.

It's an easing of the restrictions related to gender specific clothing. It's a clear step in the right direction but it's not the be-all-and-end-all.

I still remember the article in my sociology class called "Welcome to your world, Baby" which went as far as to say that all of gender but the physical bits was completely a construct and their was zero mental difference with a boy or girl at birth at all. It was biologically and psychologically wrong.

The article was "biologically and psychologically wrong"? If you were to take a group of new-born boys and girls and put them in isolation from the rest of society you wouldn't find girls making pink dresses and boys designing camouflage gear - instead they'd go around naked, acting on their biological impulses. Clothing itself it a societal construct, something so ingrained in society that it is now considered offensive and disrespectful to walk around naked.

This is so crazy that everyone is getting involved in this political degenderization.

It's not "everyone" but rather a small minority of people. However, based upon the opinions of an enlightened society it was considered that there is no reason to oppose such a change. And in that I agree. I have no intention of going around wearing a dress but I have no reason to oppose anybody else doing such a thing.

If you find such behaviour offensive then you need to really examine why that is. Do you feel intimidated by it? Do you feel emotionally violated? Does it directly affect your life in any discernible way? I really think you need to watch this video:

I love how people object to someone doing something that has zero effect on them, saying that destroys society..

But they have no problem telling everyone in society what they should do, think, act, believe, etc.. cause that's fine..

I mean that's why "god" gave free will, so you could never use it and just follow someone elses rules.

The article your talking about is similar but not the same. That said dresses for women and pants for men etc are society constructs, however, a distinct difference in dress between the genders has existed in some form all over the world. Whether it be down to just makeup and jewelry or dresses skirts etc. Their are differences, they just pronounce themselves differently in different cultures thats all. I don't necessarily appose the change at oxford, I just wonder how much of the change was felt forced down them to be considered an accepting community and that worrys me.

I have a penis. Hence, I am a man. If you don't have a penis, then you're not a man. Period. Likewise, if you have a vagina, you are a woman. If you don't have a vagina, then you're not a woman. This is disregarding any body modifications, cancer, or whatever, because they still had/have the gender's reproductive organs and so are that gender and nothing else.

Basically, you are what you are born with.

Thats your definition, I have mine. And in my definition, you are not a man. Sorry bud.

Even to most women, they say you are not a man if you don't look after the children you have had. Definitions change dependent on which angle you look at. Your angle is a either a piece of flesh or lack of.

That's sex, gender is a totally separate thing (although in most cases, correlated)

Sex and gender are very different things. Sex relates to biology, what chromosomes you possess (xx/xy) whereas gender is a psychological construct.

And this separation is exactly why we have those horrible 20th century inventions like feminism or lbgt thing.

If one is am ale he should act male. Sure there are softer feminine males but they are still males.

Guys should wear guy clothes and women should wear women clothes.

No, people should be free to wear whatever they want.

As someone with a couple of really close transgender friends, I can tell you right now that you are one seriously ignorant individual. It's clear you have no understanding of the issues that cause transgenderism whatsoever.

You have to draw the line somewhere else you'll be trying to accommodate everyone and just make things worse (which is what's happening today).

Then lets draw the line at equality, and leave it at that. Give EVERYONE the same rights, and noone will have grounds to claim they're being treated unfairly. Seems pretty simple to me

haha, this makes it easy to know you are not a psychologist, a doctor, or educated in human behavior.

http://en.wikipedia....entity_disorder

Gender identity disorder (GID) is the formal diagnosis used by psychologists and physicians to describe persons who experience significant gender dysphoria (discontent with the sex they were assigned at birth and/or the gender roles associated with that sex). It describes the symptoms related to transsexualism, as well as less severe manifestations of gender dysphoria. GID is classified as a medical disorder by the ICD-10 CM[1] and by the DSM-IV TR.[2] It is likely that the new version of the DSM will replace this category with "Gender Dysphoria."[3] Some authorities do not classify gender dysphoria as a mental illness, including the NHS which describes it as "a condition for which medical treatment is appropriate in some cases."[4]

So lets all run around naked or wearing ridiculous outfits or whatever else.

As long as EVERYONE is allowed to do that, then sure, lets make that the law. But this is hardly what LGBT and other groups are proposing. We are simply asking for equal rights to everyone else. Not more rights, or different rights, but the same rights.

Sorry but some things just aren't appropriate for certain environments.

I think this is great :)

It feels silly there were even rules in place to say how a gender should dress, but at least the world is finally changing to allow people to express themselves, whatever their race, gender, sexuality or religious presence.

You know, I dont like it, and I agree with Xilo also. My OPINION is that guys dress as guys, and girls as girls. But screw opinions, as for some weird ass reason, on this forum they get blasted and torn to shreds. They can wear what they want, I just dont like it. It doesn't affect them that I dont like it, and it doesn't affect me what they do, only if I went to said school and ended up with some sort of yearbook, and 10 years down the line one of my kids got a hold of it and I had to explain why the boys are wearing skirts. I personally think that its weird, and the schools should not have caved. We have fought for the ability for the children in the school my daughters attended to force them to wear uniforms due to the type of clothing that was being worn. If it gave them the ability to dress like a boy I would be disappointed. Label me as a bigot, I dont care, just stating my opinion on the matter.

What would be so wrong with telling your kid that the guys wearing skirts are... wearing skirts because they feel like it? Is that some how going to turn you children into wanting to wear skirts to school?

So you're a closed minded parent.. who doesn't believe in individuality. Got it. Your children will be sheep.. bah bah daddy bah bahh... You won't even talk to your children.

You're scared that they're gonna catch "the gay". That's what it ultimately comes down to, doesn't it?

It's people like you, that make me grateful that I got to go to public school and not have to put up with crazy people trying to tell me how I should dress and how I should act.

    • Windows 11 is technically Windows 10, It was going to be a Windows 10 feature update (Sun Valley) but alas, marketing had its way with it for a new version bump as opposed to yet another rolling release update and the UI design decisions made for the Windows 10 Sun Valley Update, pretty much ruined the launch of Windows 11. More about what decisions Microsoft is making at anytime rather than OS version at this point.
    • RTM is October 5, so this must be the release that software vendors could use and all.
    • 5 years old and still "work in progress"...
    • so? biggest release of all time... they could've changed it.
    • Microsoft adds new AI study and teaching tools for free to Microsoft 365 Education by Karthik Mudaliar Microsoft is expanding its footprint into the classroom with a new suite of AI-powered study and teaching tools for Microsoft 365 Education. Rather than pushing these features as premium add-ons, the company is rolling out many core features at no additional cost to existing customers. The update brings new tools such as 'Copilot Notebooks' and 'Study and Learn Agents' into Microsoft's Education suite. Copilot Notebooks is essentially an AI-powered workspace where students can ground answers with their own learning materials, similar to Google's NotebookLM. The study and learning agents would allow students to learn concepts more visually, along with interactive practices and real-time feedback. For the last few years, educational institutions have struggled to implement practical guardrails for the usage of large language models. The new tools from Microsoft are a push towards providing those guardrails natively within the apps that the students and teachers already use every day. For teachers, the new 'Unit Plans' within the dedicated 'Teach' agent would allow them to rapidly generate structured curriculum frameworks grounded in established learning science, cutting down hours of preliminary lesson planning. Microsoft is also introducing 'Learning Groups' in Assignments that would help educators automatically categorize students based on performance data. With 'Learning Zones', teachers can then tailor assignments to different comprehension levels. It should be noted that Microsoft is making Learning Zone accessible for a one-year trial across all Windows 11 devices, while quietly incentivizing school districts to upgrade their legacy hardware and lock further into the Windows ecosystem. Of course, Microsoft is doing this as part of a broader ambition. Just last year, the company made waves when it brought its 365 Copilot to the education sector for $18 a month, introducing premium tiers with standalone conversational agents. However, gating all AI features behind a per-user subscription left a massive gap of students without access to official, school-sanctioned AI tools. Now that the features are inside the base Microsoft 365 Education suite for free, the company is effectively subsidizing the AI training of its next generation of power users. Microsoft’s own data, released alongside these tools in its 2026 AI in Education Report, indicates that while over 90% of students are using AI, nearly 80% lack formal training. Lastly, Microsoft is also expanding its "Elevate for Educators" training program, developed in partnership with organizations like ISTE and ASCD. This ensures that the teachers tasked with policing and guiding this new technology actually understand how to use it themselves.
