I got fed up with my room as it was, and have been redecorating for the last month or so now. Unfortunately my camera (Exilim EX-Z750) only arrived today; the room is nearly done now.

I must've spent close to ?2000 on my audio and video setup now, just got my sub this morning:

  • Samsung LE32R41BX
    Cyrus 7 Integrated Amplifier
    JBL XTi 20 Speakers
    BK XLS200-DF Subwoofer
    Grado SR-80 Headphones

Makes up my main setup, although I'm waiting on delivery of an Oppo upscaling DVD player. (came out on top of a comparison with players from $200-13,000)

Am also waiting on a replacement Joytech AV control centre for SCART/Component switching.

I'm thinking about getting the LCD ISF calibrated soon, and I'll probably buy a good DAC as well. Does anyone have thoughts / opinions on whether it's worth it? (?200)

The spaces on the left are for my X360 and other next-gen systems when they arrive:):)

PAL Xbox (softmodded for progressive scan) Modded PAL PS2 (for imports) JP Gamecube, Japanese Saturn, Super Famicom, my XRGB2+ Line Doubler, and various controllers.

I'll be taking care of the wires once everything else arrives.

17" 1.67GHz Powerbook G4, 2GB RAM, 100GB Hard drive, 128mb Radeon 9700 Mobility, the works:):)

Wacom "Pearl" Graphire 3 A5 tablet.

GBA/DS games, Music CDs, Software, and that's the sub hiding under the desk.

I still need to get a new shelf for all my games/dvds, something to hold those controllers, new lighting and sheets for my bed. (still got dark grey ones on it)

I got a Question, I have 4 b&o surround speakers and I want to hook them up to my television, How can I fix this?

the speakers are hooked up to a -also b&o- cd player. now is there a way to hook them up to my tv so i can watch movies in surround?

you wil probably need a processor / amplifier if your existing b&o cd player doesnt have inputs, also i woudl recommend you at least get a center speaker, and probably also a sub woofer if you are planning on getteing a dolby digital or pro logic amplifier.

    • All it does is use the CPU more efficiently during boot to speed up boot times. That's it. Yawn....
    • It's not a one or the other kind of thing. Software should run efficiently, and the operating system should appropriately manage the CPU clocks. You could have the best most optimized software on earth, and it will still run faster if the CPU does a better job of boosting as needed. All this is doing is pre-boosting the CPU based on user actions, instead of waiting for the normal detection mechanism to kick in. If the OS knows it is about to need more CPU, why shouldn't it use that knowledge? It's the same idea of downshifting before passing someone, instead of just burying your foot into the peddle and waiting for the transmission to figure out what you want to do.

    • There really isn't anything magical about the low latency profile, other OS's do this as well. All they're doing is using your CPUs boost clock options in a more smarter way.
    • So we shouldn't have the option because of people using their laptops on battery? OK? LOL
