I'm getting really ****ed. I can't move my character at all online. I have I quit and replay to move him. Complete a mission and again can't move. Getting irritated fast.

check rockstars support page and sub for updates. taken from their R* twitter

I can't even update to the latest patch to try playing online. Just get a black screen.

If you're on Xbox, clear the system cache. This will allow the patch to install correctly

PS3 unfortunately :(

Anyone had their chars deleted? my brother in law had his deleted today, he put a ticket in and they told him how he must log out to make sure it saves...

It's not like he levelled it all in one session, this is over a week or so

Edit: Wait, i logged off to help someone cap arena's in wow and come back and mine is gone too! - not happy

I lost mine yesterday, had it level 14.  Lost the character, but not the cash luckily.

Edit:  But hey, now my single-player characters are invisible.  Awesome.

After doing a mission with friends today we all went back to free roam and for some reason I was about 10 times bigger than I should of been like a giant, but the game wouldn't let me walk around, just stood there on the spot.

LOL, maybe next time you can move around and pretend you're Godzilla and destroy LS?

It's weird that they are having so many problems getting this right considering that while being on a bigger map and having a few more features, GTA V Online is basically the same kind of online experience as Red Dead Redeption.

I mean, it's not as if this was the first time they released something similar.

PS: also some of the crew stuff on the Rockstar Games Social Club isn't working either, and I don't see how that'd be so hard to get right.

We made a crew emblem with the designer and published it yet it shows as a broken image everywhere but on the editor itself.

I bought it for ps3, played half an hour, and didn't really like it. Am I the weird one here? I'm not even sure what part I didn't really like. Last similar open world game that I played was the sleeping dogs, and I had loved that one.

GTA V doesn't have a great beginning, IMO. The robbery scene is OK but not all that exciting and after that it has a somewhat slow and directionless pace until the plot builds up.

In comparison Sleeping Dogs is more simple as a whole but the pace is a lot more constant.

So no, it's not weird that you didn't like the first half an hour, but that doesn't mean you won't be enjoying the game a lot better later on.

You didn't like the game period, or just MP? If the former, who knows. Maybe just state of mind. I think this is worlds better than Sleeping Dogs, tho not as good as GTA IV. Everyone's different.

I didn't even try MP yet. I had loved GTA 3, never played 4 properly though.

I bought the game digital anyway, so it's not like I can return it. I will give it some more time this weekend and hopefully the story will pick up.

It's a good thing I do not have that much interest in the MP portion I suppose. Still absolutely loving the SP, think I am at 35% or something along those lines.

Just a quick question about the SP

Are the movie studio  missions, car repo missions (the 5 cars for that one rich idiot) part of the main storyline, or just alternate side missions?

I prefer to progress the main storyline along, and believe those missions above are part of it, but I am not 100% sure they are.

This will be the game I just keep visiting over the next 6 months it looks like, and one of the main reasons I will keep my PS3 hooked up once the new consoles hit, until I finally beat it one magical day.

RDR was very much the same.

I might be wrong but I think every mission that doesn't have a ? in the map (either a big one or a small one next to a capital letter) is a main storyline mission, even though some of them might seem only tangential to the actual main story.
