Fox has removed from its web site a recent episode of "Family Guy," which showed mass deaths at the Boston Marathon.

A doctored version of the clip, which made fun of Monday's terrorist attack at the marathon, has since circulated online.

Fox Broadcasting refused to comment. But Seth MacFarlane, creator of the "Family Guy" cartoon, condemned the hoax episode in a Tuesday tweet.

"The edited Family Guy clip currently circulating is abhorrent," he tweeted. "The event was a crime and a tragedy, and my thoughts are with the victims."

The "Turban Cowboy" episode was originally broadcast on March 17, and Fox confirmed that it has since been pulled from Fox.com and Hulu.

The episode showed the main character of the show Peter Griffin mowing down other runners with a car in a bid to win the marathon.

The online hoax spliced together two clips from the original episode. The hoax showed Griffin appearing to trigger explosions with his cell phone, while depicting the scene of bloody carnage when he drove his car through the runners.

Pulling episodes of satirical comedies because they could remind people about a tragic event is a stupid practice. It doesn't make the episodes un air. it doesn't remove the point it made in the first place, it doesn't make anyone feel better, it had nothing to do with the event in the first place.

the ONLY ones who gain anything from this idiot practice is the terrorists.

It wasn't a real episode.

The hoax clip wasn't, but the episode it was created from and the one they did pull was quite real.

The actual problem broadcast was a splicing of several different parts of the episode.

No, they pulled the WHOLE ORIGINAL Turban Cowboy episode. the spliced clip was made after this even. And while the clip was in bad taste. I'm not sure Seth has any grounds to complain about it. But I guess it's not the same when it goes the other way...

My mistake then. I read this story elsewhere and they didn't make it particularly clear there.

I'm glad they pulled the episode but it sure is strangely prophetic.

But why are you glad? It has nothing to do with it, it takes away from those who enjoy family guy, it does opting for those affected AND it's another win for the terrorit.

Another win for the terrorists? It's called trying to be sensitive. 3 people died. Many were injured. Besides, it's a silly cartoon!

A silly cartoon that was removed because of fear and because something terrorists did to protect those who don't need to watch it and wouldn't watch it anyway. yup, that's a win for the terrorists.

I don't think it was removed due to fear. It was removed as a token of respect for the dead and injured. It's one thing to parody a fictional event; it's another entirely when that event actually happens. I don't think it's a problem that they've decided to remove this episode; saves them having to deal with complaints.

Spot on!

i think I've just gotten really jaded. i think i might be the only one not really at all concerned with this bombing.

Have a cookie.

i'm serious. 2 bombs explode killing only 3 people.

The very next day a fertilizer plant blows up entirely on accident.. 5 to 15 dead

suddenly the Boston bombing seems very small and insignificant when accidents do more damage than intentional malice.

    • This might work, but the boot menu F12 only shows hdd and dvd+/- and Niks In the bios all usb are enabled. the usb stick is in place and in the boot menu it does not show up in the bios boot order.
    • Because we were never offered a UFC game to review it in the past. Sometimes it's not a conspiracy, the reviewer does not even live in the U.S. and didn't ask for it.
    • Apple releases iOS 27 Beta 2 for developers and power users by Aditya Tiwari It's been a couple of weeks since Apple previewed the iOS 27 update during the WWDC official keynote. The upcoming iOS version will bring even more refinements to the Liquid Glass design language, an upgraded Siri AI assistant, and several new Apple Intelligence features. Interestingly, the latest WWDC keynote was different than previous years. Apple has released the iOS 27 beta 2 (build 24A5370h) for developers who want to test the new features being baked for the iPhone and optimize their apps. If you're interested in downloading the latest beta, go to Settings > General > Software Update > beta Updates, then choose iOS 27 Developer Beta. You can download the latest iOS 27 beta on more than 30 supported iPhones. Make sure you know what you are doing since developer betas can be unstable and unexpected at times. If you want to be on the safer side, you can wait for the public beta, which will arrive next month. It's been a while since Apple discontinued its AirPort router lineup. Now, the company said in the iOS 27 beta 2 release notes that the AirPort Utility is deprecated and won't be available for new downloads from the App Store. Apple added that if you previously downloaded the app, you can re-download it. However, the functionality isn't guaranteed when using the AirPort Utility on iOS 27 or later. Speaking of known issues, Apple said that the Portrait mode blur effect might render incorrectly for photos; you may be unable to stop an alarm from the lock screen without unlocking your iPhone; the "Add a Control" button in Control Center edit mode might appear small or clipped. There are several new features in iOS 27 beta 2 as well. It comes with Neural Engine improvements for Apple Intelligence, including better performance when loading large models over 1GB. HomeKit Secure Video recordings are processed on-device and through Private Cloud Compute for video descriptions and search, when Apple Intelligence is enabled in the Home app. That said, you can also download the second betas of macOS 27 Golden Gate, iPadOS 27, watchOS 27, and other Apple operating systems.
    • FSR 4.1 is insanely superior to FSR 3. Like, FSR 4.1 Performance looks better than FSR 3.1 Quality. It's great they are finally enabling it for RX 7000 users. A bit late, but I guess better late than never.
