James Spader is pretty badass in this role, I like it.

Lance Reddick has landed a guest-starring role on NBC's The Blacklist, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.

 

The Fringe alum will play "The Cowboy," one of Red's (James Spader) many assets. But when Red gives him a new assignment, the results will leave Red in shock.

 

Reddick ? whose recent credits include American Horror Story: Coven and Intelligence ? will appear in the same episode as Dianne Wiest, who was recently cast as the head of Amnesty United, an organization created to fight the death penalty.
